How To Clean Gas Grill | Simple & Effective Method

You’ve been using your new gas grill quite a bit… But it’s not so shiny anymore. So you’re wondering how to clean gas grill. Makes sense! All cooking appliances need a good clean every once in a while… And lucky for you, it doesn’t have to be complicated. Our very own Justin Merchant is going to walk you through the entire process in just a couple minutes. Armed with this knowledge and just a couple simple tools… You’ll be perfectly equipped to tackle the task on your own.

Alright, so the first step in how to clean your gas grill is… Clear off any obvious debris, and clean off the outside of your grill. You should have rubber gloves, a sponge, warm soapy water, and a non-metal grill brush on hand to assist you. With a sponge and warm soapy water, give the outside of your gas grill a good wipe down. Next, make sure to remove any accessories from your grill. If you have ceramic briquettes, knock any burnt food bits off the top. Put the briquettes back in, briquette side down. In a similar fashion, brush off your grill grates. Then replace them face down. Then, you’ll turn your grill on to let any remaining food bits burn off.

After letting your grill cool down fully… You can put everything back in order, and use your grill as normal. And that’s how to clean gas grill. Pretty simple, right?

what’s going on guys it’s Justin here with RTA  outdoor living and we’re going to go through how to clean your S Series Grill today as you can  see mine is in dire need of some cleaning so we’re going to Dive Right In couple things that you’re  going to want to have on hand you’re going to want to have some rubber gloves a nonmetal grill brush  roll of paper towels and some soapy water so the

0:15
first thing that you’re going to want to do is  you’re going to want to put your rubber gloves on and then you’re going to want to go through in  the case like mine if you have any kind of debris

0:30
that you can easily pick off you’re going to want  to pick that off take your soapy water and just give the outside just a really quick wipe down  something like that wipe that down get all your debris off for time purposes we’re just going to  kind of give you the overview here now as far as

0:45
burning it off you want to make sure that you  remove any of your accessories like the smoker box you’re going to want to remove the grates over  to one side move them over here and then you’re

1:00
going to want to take your ceramic burettes out  one of the first things you want to do with these is you want to dust any of this charcoal that has  uh burned off over time you want to try and knock as much of that off as you can so take that over  a trash can off the back deck kind of whatever

1:15
works and just kind of knock  some of that off and when you put it back in you want to install it upside down

1:30
we going to slide those in upside down  just like that and you can quickly see why you want to have some R rubber  gloves on next thing that you want to do is you want to take your grates  take your grill brush and you want to

1:45
brush those off get all that debris  off keep it from falling down in your grill I’m going to do both sides  where that that fat has dripped down

2:00
underneath something like that bonus if you have  chickens they’ll enjoy eating that same thing with the ceramic briquettes when  you go to place your grates in you do want to

2:30
place them in upside down as the heat will help  to burn off all of that uh extra grease that has cooked on over time this point I usually like to  take one of my gloves off because I’m going to start up the grill if your top rack has been used  a lot and you’ve got some buildup on it you can do

2:45
the same thing mine I don’t use it much you can  see so uh we’re going to leave it just like that today we want to leave the back burner  off there’s really no reason to turn it on there’s nothing that’s it’s going to  burn off so you’re want to leave your grill

3:00
on just like this close it up let it burn  off for about 10 to 15 minutes come back out turn it all off once everything is  fully cooled off then you’ll come back in you’ll flip everything back over the way  it was and you’re good to go and that’s it
