Coyote Flat Top Grill Review | In-Depth View of Features & Specs

Thinking about buying a flat top grill from Coyote… But you need to see a Coyote flat top grill review first? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered here! This review, featuring our very own James King, will go over all the details you need to know before you buy. You’ll learn about the size, power, functionality and more… So without further ado, let’s dive in.

We’ll start off this Coyote flat top grill review with a little comment on freestanding vs built-in appliances. Even if you don’t buy a dedicated built-in model… Coyote’s freestanding flat top grill will still be the same design as their built-in model. Why is this important? Well… If you decide you want to put your flat top into an outdoor kitchen in the future… Normally, you would have to buy an entirely new flat top! But with Coyote, you can safely use your existing griddle without a hitch.

Moving onto the next section of our Coyote flat top grill review… James discusses some of the general specifications of the unit. This griddle will come with a stainless steel cover, which is perfect for storage when not in use. But you’ll also get a 400 square inch cooking surface with two separately controlled burners. Each burner packs a punch, with 17,000 BTUs of power behind each one!

But that’s not all that we cover in this review. So if you want to get all the details… You’ll just have to watch it all! We promise, it’s well-worth your time.

all right I want to do a quick walk through of the  30-in coyote Flat top griddle uh before I get into the functionality and the different features uh  just want to cover it is sitting on a cart right now just the way we have it set up but this same  exact unit can be taken right off the cart and slid into an outdoor kitchen uh first thing I’ll  go through is you’ll notice there’s a stainless

0:15
steel cover uh that’s covering up the cooking  surface that comes standard with the flat top griddle go ahead and remove that so now that  we have the cover off you can see the cooking

surface got a stainless steel cooking surface  it’s 400 square in so it gives you pretty good space and it also has these uh barriers or rails  on the side so that way your food doesn’t you know fall off the the cooking surface everything  can stay contained you’ll notice there’s two

knobs so the two different knobs control the  177,000 uh BTU burners that sit underneath the cooking surface separated in two different  cooking zones as well so you have the ability to cook on different set sections the other thing  you’ll notice is in the front cool thing about

1:00
this is it has the removable grease trap so this  simply once it gets filled up or you’re ready to clean things out it can simply be removed as you  can see and that’s where everything would fall

into okay so the next thing you’ll notice is  if you look closely Behind These burners it has a lighting feature and what that’s  designed to do is because the griddle cooking surface actually covers the burner so  it’s not an open flame like a grill uh Once

1:30
you turn the gas on The Griddle on it actually  activates this lighting feature just letting you know for safety purposes that the gas  is activated last consideration just from a placement and functionality standpoint for  The Griddle is since the griddle does have a

lighting feature you’ll want to have power close  by so the power actually comes out of the back left if you’re in front of the griddle um and  then the gas con actually is going to be on

the back right if again if you’re standing  in front of the griddle SO gas is on your back right and then your electrical or  your power is going to be on your back [Music]
