We take great pride in our island finishes and countertops. Most prefab outdoor kitchens you’ll encounter come with a low cost stucco or cheap manufactured stone veneer. At RTA, we take a much different approach.

Our Island Finishes
Every RTA outdoor kitchen is handmade. So we’ve collaborated with exterior designers and master craftsmen to create a standard profile for our finishes. This provides consistency while retaining that handmade touch. Our standard offerings include finishes in Stone, Wood, Brick, Plank, and Modern Concrete. These finishes also come in different colors for added variety as well.

To “top” it all off… Our standard finishes come with a 1.25″ chiseled edge concrete countertop. Our concrete countertops are manufactured with an Engineered Concrete Composite. This is not your average concrete. It’s 3-4x stronger than standard concrete and designed to withstand all environments. Even better, our countertops are internally reinforced with composite rebar. With all of this strength and reinforcement… You may think our countertops weigh a ton. Not so. These countertops are relatively lightweight! In fact, it’s a breeze for 2-3 people to handle and install. RTA chiseled edge countertops are factory sealed with a water based, food safe sealer.

Pros
- Internally reinforced and durable

CONS
- Porous material susceptible to staining and scratching
- Requires periodic maintenance
- Micro cracks appear as a natural part of the curing process (not harmful to the structure)
- Does not appeal to everyone's style

Pros
- Dense material resistant to scratches and stains
- Sleek, modern look
- Durable in all climates, including freeze/thaw
- Requires less maintenance than concrete
CONS
- Heavy and difficult to maneuver
- Gets extremely hot in the sun, especially darker shades
- Cannot be internally reinforced, there is a chance it will crack
- May not fit your aesthetic
