Outdoor Kitchen Planning | Why Saving Money Isn’t Always Good

When you’re starting the process of outdoor kitchen planning… One of the first things you’re going to consider is price.

If the price isn’t right… You’re not going to move forward with the project.

Simple as that! But we’re here to share a bit of a cautionary tale. Saving money isn’t the end-all be-all of outdoor kitchen planning.

Why?

Ultimately, it comes down to quality of materials and service. In total, there are three things you consider when making a purchase. You want the best quality product, the highest quality service, at the lowest possible price.

However, there’s give and take between these categories! So if you’re only looking to get the cheapest price… You are necessarily going to compromise on material quality and service. And we’d posit that in the long run… Those initial savings are actually going to end up costing you more!

If something goes wrong, customer service may not be up to snuff. You won’t get the assistance you need… Which ends up costing you time, frustration, and money. Same goes for the quality of your island. If the materials start breaking down after one winter… You’re in for a serious repair bill!

In many cases, by spending more on your island… You’re actually getting the better deal! Paying a little more for a higher quality product and better service is more than worth it in our minds. Now, you’re not required to take our advice. But we’d encourage you to think about it!

Just something to think about during the process of outdoor kitchen planning! And should you need any pointers… We’re here to help!
