Do RTA Outdoor Kitchens Come with a Warranty?
Yes, RTA outdoor kitchens come with a warranty. More specifically, the RTA Outdoor Living structure comes with the following:
- A limited lifetime structural warranty on the island panels
- 2 year finish surface warranty
- 5 year structural warranty on the countertops

“Outdoor Living warrants to the original purchaser at the original site of delivery with proof of purchase that when subject to normal single-family residential use, the RTA Outdoor Living structure shall be free from defects in workmanship and materials and has a lifetime limited structural warranty and a two – year surface finish warranty, subject to limitations and disclaimers set forth below. Concrete countertops shall have a 5-year structural warranty, subject to limitations and disclaimers set forth below. Granite countertops shall be free from defects in workmanship and materials.
RTA Outdoor Living’s obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement, at our option, of the product during the warranty period. Warranty does not include disposal of any product or packaging. If RTA elects replacement, the warranty does not include any labor costs, including those associated with removal of the prior product or installation of the replacement product. The extent of any liability of RTA Outdoor Living under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement.
The warranty period is not extended by such repair or replacement. RTA Outdoor Living’s manufacturing process has been designed to imitate and re – imagine real stone, wood and other aesthetic surfaces. These surfaces may contain small air holes, surface cracks, and surface anomalies as part of the surface aesthetics and these are not considered manufacturing defects.”

What the RTA Warranty Does Not Cover
RTA’s limited lifetime warranty does come with some limitations as far as coverage. The following situations are not covered by the RTA warranty:
- Miscellaneous Damage: Damage to the outdoor kitchen caused by accident, negligence, misuse, abuse, fire, flood, improper installation, acts of God, neglect, corrosion, alteration or customization, improper maintenance or cleaning, modification, mishandling, or not following care instructions
- Discoloration: Discoloration or deterioration caused by airborne contaminants, chemicals or paint, staining or oxidation, or high heat
- Weathering: Changes in product appearance due to normal weathering from sunlight, rain, and extreme weather exposure
- Outside of US: Products shipped outside of the continental United States or Canada
- Unpaid Invoices: Warranty does not cover products that have not been paid for in full
- Appliances: Appliances are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty
- MOKs: MOKs outdoor kitchens have a separate warranty
- New Ownership: The RTA warranty is non-transferable if the product is sold to a new owner
What Will RTA Outdoor Living do if Something Goes Wrong with my Outdoor Kitchen?
Now that you’re getting a grip on what RTA’s outdoor kitchen warranty is and what it covers… you’re probably thinking about the worst-case scenario. What happens if something goes wrong? Will RTA honor their warranty and take care of the problem?
While we do our best to make a perfect product every time… the reality is, sometimes there are issues with RTA outdoor kitchens and we have received warranty claims over the years.
Interestingly enough, the vast majority of our warranty claims are appliance related. As mentioned earlier, appliances are not covered under the warranty. However, if you purchased Coyote appliances through us, we will help you with your issue and act as a mediator between you and Coyote. We’ll advocate on your behalf and do our best to assist in the process of resolving your appliance related problem. Coyote will ultimately make the final decision, but we can tee you up to get the outcome you’re hoping for.
