Chef Jet Tila Brings His Cooking Talents to the Outdoors

Chef Jet Tila is one of the most beloved chefs on the Food Network… But did you know that he recently got his very own outdoor kitchen? Now, instead of limiting his culinary prowess to the indoors… Jet Tila’s 30+ years of cooking experience is now being tested in the outdoor environment. Or should we say… The outdoor kitchen is being tested? We’ll let you decide. Either way, let’s take a little tour of this modern island.

Today, Chef Jet Tila is showing off a MOKS island. What’s a MOKS? It stands for modular outdoor kitchen system. This island is made with marine grade composite panels with interlocking channels… Which literally lock into place with no equipment at all. In fact, Chef Jet Tila and Ali Tila were up and running in about a half hour.

But you’re here for the cooking! In this video, you’ll see the Coyote pellet grill on full display. Chef Jet Tila cooks a variety of cuisines on this pellet grill… Showing just how versatile it actually is. He cooked dishes ranging from pork belly lettuce wraps, to spatchcock chicken… And even to a pineapple upside down cake! You probably aren’t used to thinking of a grill as an outdoor oven… But a pellet grill is actually an excellent appliance for baking outdoors.

Curious to see more? There’s plenty more to check out. For more detailed recipe videos on these dishes from Chef Jet TIla… You’ll find a video for each dish featured on our YouTube channel. Bon appetit!
