Outdoor Kitchen Ideas | Extravagant Grill & Bar Island in the Sunshine State

Before you finalize your BBQ island design… You’ll have to check out some outdoor kitchen ideas first! And there’s no better example than this Florida outdoor kitchen.

Starting on the grill island… You’ll first notice the Coyote asado. This is an impressive charcoal smoker for slow-cooking, grilling, and even baking. Next, there’s a Coyote power burner that’s dropped into the island. This creates a comfortable cooking height… And comes with a convenient drawer underneath for storage. It’s worth harping on how versatile the power burner is! It can be transformed into either a wok or a flat top griddle with the right accessories.

And of course… This wouldn’t be an outdoor kitchen idea walkthrough without a grill! The stainless steel grill is an absolute powerhouse, with access doors underneath. To the left, you’ll also see an outdoor refrigerator and double drawers for even more storage.

But this outdoor kitchen idea isn’t over yet! There’s a complete bar island off to the side. This island features a dual pull out trash and recycle bin, paper towel holder, drop-in cooler, and another outdoor refrigerator. Talk about a complete bar station! And due to the sheer size of this bar… There’s plenty of seating for your guests to gather and enjoy the outdoors.

So, what do you think of this outdoor kitchen idea? Pretty impressive, right? You can achieve the same thing in your backyard, and hardly lift a finger. Start off by creating a custom design using our free online design tool… And you’ll see what we mean!

all right we’re here with the final result the finished product as you can see behind me we have the grill Island section and uh I gotta be honest this thing looks unbelievable we’re super happy and thrilled with how it came out one of the things I really love about

00:12
this layout is just how much cooking versatility you have on it so starting from right to left I want to be able to walk you through the individual components right here in front of me we have a coyote Asado smoker this is a really great piece of equipment if you’re

00:26
looking to slow cook foods and really get that charcoal flavor that a lot of people are after moving to my left we have a coyote power burner and you can see it’s kind of inset or dropped into the island and this is done through a power burner sleeve that also

00:42
incorporates a storage cabinet below so you can store your different accessories that you have for your power burner the other cool thing about the power burner is it’s almost like a multi-functional appliance because there’s different accessories that you could purchase

00:55
separate that would convert this power burner into for example there’s a Teppanyaki griddle accessory that you can add onto it where it literally converts this power burner into a griddle so if you wanted to cook pancakes breakfast eggs sausages and

01:10
things like that you’d be able to do it all with this power burner the other thing that you can add is is what’s called a wok accessory you can basically take out the inner ring and you can inset the lock itself in there and it just gives you much more versatility in

01:24
the way that you can cook on the appliance moving to my left we have a 36 inch S-Series drill through coyote it’s a four burner grill it’s also a great piece of equipment is it has additional features like a rotisserie you know infrared burners and things like that so

01:38
you can have additional cooking versatility below that we have a 36 inch double access door this is also great just because you can store propane tanks underneath or just give you General access to your direct natural gas or propane line then moving to my left

01:56
24 inch refrigerator this is obviously really great piece to be able to incorporate in your outdoor kitchen as well nothing better than it being able to keep your drinks cool or just simply put different Meats inside to store them as you’re prepping your food

02:11
the last thing that we have on this outdoor kitchen layout last but not least is storage functionality we have a two drawer storage cabinet here this just gives you the ability to store spices plates and different things like that so you can have as much convenience as possible

02:27
all right so we’re here over at the bar Island section now and we have some more appliances that they incorporated into this design so I want to walk you through the individual components starting from left to right on my uh right in front of me you can see a dual

02:39
trash pull out and this is really convenient just because nobody wants to Lug their trash inside or lug a trash can all the way outside every time they want to cook or entertain this is really nice because you can incorporate this feature right into your outdoor kitchen

02:53
and just simply throw your trash or recyclables you know right outside moving to my right I have a paper towel holder and this is cool just because you can incorporate a paper towel roll right into it so you can conveniently always have access to paper towels as you’re

03:10
prepping and serving and doing different things moving to my right we have the drop in cooler this drops right into the countertop and sits on top of the countertop itself now this is really cool just because it doesn’t require power but it’s a cool way to be able to

03:24
drop in ice and store things that you want to keep cold like refreshments and drinks then to my right don’t think you could ever have enough storage in an outdoor kitchen again it’s really all about convenience so you want to be able to conveniently store things outside this

03:38
is another two drawer cabinet we have here you can store really anything you want and then uh last thing on this island is going to be another 24 inch refrigerator and kind of like the storage you really can ever you can never have enough room or enough space to put your cold

03:52
refreshments and drinks that you want to keep cool outside one of the cool things that we can do with our Islands here at RTA is uh we can incorporate bar seating functionality so our bar islands always come with a 10 inch countertop overhang and that’s just so you can conveniently

04:09
you know pull up bar stools underneath and be able to you know have your guests sit down on one side you know have them you could serve food from the other side but that way you really can have the best of both worlds where you have kind of your cooking station outside so you

04:23
can cook and entertain your guests at the same time
