MOKS vs RTA Concrete Outdoor Kitchen | 6 Fundamental Differences

If you’ve seen mention of the MOKS system… You’re probably wondering how it is different from our classic concrete outdoor kitchen system. That’s an excellent question! Just one look will tell you there are some fundamental differences… But what are they, exactly? This video will take a deep dive into the 6 main differentiators… However, we will discuss a few here as well. First and foremost, MOKS installs much quicker than our standard concrete system. Generally speaking, you can install a MOKS island in half the time. Now, that doesn’t mean our concrete outdoor kitchens are slow to assemble! They still come together in a single afternoon. MOKS simply offers a more rapid installation process. Another key difference is weight.

It’s no surprise to you that a concrete outdoor kitchen is heavy. It’s concrete, after all! So MOKS does have a leg up in this category. They’re made from a different material, and have thinner panels. This makes MOKS much easier to maneuver in your backyard. Another difference? MOKS is actually less customizable than our standard concrete islands. There are a set number of configurations you can choose from… So there is less flexibility when it comes to design.

At the same time… There are a number of popular designs available with the MOKS system! So if you’re not looking for anything overly complex, you’ll likely find what you need.
A fourth difference between MOKS and our concrete outdoor kitchens is the materials, of course! Rather than being made from concrete… MOKS islands are made from a marine grade composite. This is an HDPE material which is heavy-duty in all environments, like concrete. There are a few more differences between MOKs and a concrete outdoor kitchen to discuss… But you’ll just have to watch the video to learn them all!

all right so we got this beauty all wrapped up and what I want to do is I want to walk you through the entire layout so right in front of me we have a single trash here moving over to the left we have a 36 inch C Series Grille from coyote below that we have 31 inch

00:16
double access doors you can use those to store propane tanks and whatnot and then moving to the left we have a 21 inch outdoor rated refrigerator and then right here we have a 31 inch combination drawer which has some cool functionality you have storage drawers that you can

00:32
store smaller things and then also on the right hand side you have an access door for storing larger items and the best thing about this layout is since it’s an L shape on the other side of the the bar Island over here you actually have an overhang where you can have your

00:47
guests sit on the other side so we get a lot of questions about the differences between our mock system and our concrete Islands so some of the major differences between the two systems is going to be with our mock system it actually goes together and installs much quicker Although our

01:05
concrete Islands do still go together relatively quick The Mach system can be installed in about half the time it’s also a much lighter weight system so with MOX it’s generally going to be about half the weight of our concrete Islands but with our concrete Islands

01:19
you can customize them a little bit more than our mock system and the finishes are going to be different from our concrete Islands so with mocks the side panels are actually made out of a marine grade composer or an HDPE material and you’ll notice the countertops are a

01:33
little bit thinner so on our concrete Islands we use either a concrete countertop or Granite depending on your preference but with MOX we have a solid surface countertop that’s a little bit thinner so some people like the customization of our concrete Islands

01:45
over the mock system but if you are looking for something that’s relatively simple can be put together really quickly and also is a very lightweight system this could be a great option for you and the beautiful thing about these setups is that if you’re a real estate

02:01
investor and you’re looking for a quick and convenient way to add value to your property and you know attract more renters this is an easy way to do so especially with our mock system because of how fast it goes together as a real estate investor you don’t really have a

02:14
lot of time and you certainly don’t want to be you know spending your time building an outdoor kitchen which could take weeks on end with our mock system you can simply order it literally gets delivered to the property and in a matter of an hour it can go together and

02:28
you have something that can easily attract more renters and make your property more attractive
