[Music] hi I’m Kevin with RTA outdoor living and I’m going to walk you through on how to properly inspect your shipment when it arrives at your home shipping concrete across the country can be challenging as
0:15
you can see we’ve put a lot of effort and resources into protecting these kitchens so they survive the journey from our plant to your home but even so damage can still occur from time to time in order to protect yourself and avoid any headaches in the back end it’s
0:30
really important you schedule a call with your project manager so that they can walk you through the following steps so that when your shipment arrives you’re fully prepared so first thing you’re going to want to do is make sure that all the pieces that you’re supposed
0:45
to get are actually there in this case we’re getting three crates and two pallets of appliances so your delivery receipt should have five pieces on it if for some reason something is missing or you’re unsure please call your project manager or ask the driver to verify
1:00
what’s in each crate can be seen right here on this panel typically labeled in this case we have a 9-t custom grill Island in weathered wood ash it is really important that you fully inspect your shipment before you sign anything
1:15
take a look around and look at the crates to see if you notice any damage these 2x4s should be attached to the panels make sure that the pallet the crate is sitting on is fully intact there are no holes or nothing is cracked
1:30
as you walk around the crate if you do notice any damage it is very important that you photograph anything and notate so on the delivery receipt it is okay to accept partial shipments but you can also refuse the entire shipment even
1:45
though coyote appliances are protected with styrofoam and cardboard we built these crates to to make sure the appliances arrive safely at your home if you notice any damage such as this and any dents or cracks to the cardboard it
2:00
is important to take the appliance out of the box and inspect thoroughly for damage as you can see this crate took some damage and the cardboard was dented we took the appliance out of the box fully inspected it and everything is ready to go now that you’ve inspected
2:15
your shipment you’re ready for installation and you’ll be grilling in no time these concrete panels are very heavy please make sure you have at least two adults and use proper lifting techniques when transporting the panels
2:30
grab the panels from the bottom and the top make sure you carry them vertically do not carry them like a tabl toop it is really important you start with the back panel first and you sandwich the side panels in between the front and the back
2:45
panel make sure that the connection up here is level use to provided chimps to level either panel you always want to have them in loose first so you can make adjustments and square the base
3:00
[Music] when attaching the El rackets it’s important to only attach the outside self-tapping screws first so that you can make adjustments
3:15
to the base once you verified the Bas is square you can then attach the remaining self-tapping screws it’s really important when you do this install that you have a guy sitting over over there leaning commentate
3:30
commenting on how easy the install is he’s [Music]
3:45
[Music] doing all right guys we have a lot of questions when it comes time to putting the the granite seams together to make sure your your granite arrives safe we do add seams typically we we put them
4:00
behind each Appliance on the island whether it’s the grill or the power burner here um and then just as far as installation what you’re going to see is when you have these seams in Granite there’s going to be a cutout on the inside of each of these uh with your
4:15
shipment of your kitchen you’re going to get a couple biscuits just like these you’re going to slide them right in here these will slide into the cutout on this side of the granite and then you’re just going to want to take your Silicone put a significant amount down out there
4:30
you can never use too much um and what this painter SAE does is once everything dries easy clean up pull it right off you’re good to go then you can slide your appliances asn’t start grilling we got all the the seams lined up we can see the silicone coming through that’s
4:45
just a good sign that we’re going to have good adhesion there um once all this hardens up for about an hour depending on the weather the hotter the better of course it’ll it’ll dry a little faster um but just keep these clamps on for at least an hour that way the the the the silicone will get nice
5:00
and stiff um and then we can apply the uh the appliances [Music]
