Outdoor Kitchen Electrical Requirements | Complete Guide for Coyote Appliances

When it comes to outdoor kitchen electrical requirements… Navigating your needs can prove to be quite complex! There are a ton of appliances that require electricity to function… And it’s difficult to know what exactly you need! So in this video, we seek to demystify outdoor kitchen electrical requirements. Specifically when it comes to Coyote appliances! Alright, let’s take a closer look.

One of the most common electrical appliances you’ll incorporate into your island is an outdoor refrigerator. For Coyote fridges… They’ll come with a 4 ½ ft long cord, with 3 prongs on the end. This can be plugged into a standard electrical outlet. So in your design… We recommend having an outlet as close to the fridge as possible. You want to leave plenty of slack in your power cord. Next, let’s turn our attention to the pellet grills.

While it’s fueled by pellets… You’ll need electricity for ignition, temperature control, and the digital display. This outdoor kitchen electrical requirement is simple! The pellet grill will plug into a standard 120V outlet just fine. It’s recommended that you have this outlet inside the island to protect the cord from the elements.

The warming drawer is where it can get a little tricky! If you have the standalone warming drawer… It will have to be hardwired. This does require an extra step! But if you have the warming drawer combo with storage… It will already be wired for you. In this case, you’ll plug it in as normal. Overall, outdoor kitchen electrical requirements aren’t that bad! Most appliances fit into a standard 120V outlet… Without any additional work. Hopefully, you’re feeling a little more confident about your project! If not, we’re here to help!

00:16
appliances that require utilities and explain the recommended ways to run your utility lines to each Appliance keep in mind that we use coyote appliances in our designs so the information we are going to walk you through will be specific to Coyote appliances a lot of the principles will

00:33
be the same for most appliances but things can vary so it’s always best to refer back to the manufacturer’s recommendations

Refrigerators

00:41
coyote refrigerators come with a cord that is about four and a half feet long and comes equipped with a three prong plug the refrigerator can be plugged into a standard electrical outlet with a three-prong ground it is highly recommended that you don’t use an

00:55
extension cord for the refrigerator but if you do a heavy duty Appliance rated extension cord that is rated for 220 volts and 15 amps is required the best location for the outlet for your refrigerator is going to be located directly behind the refrigerator to the

01:12
left or the right so that it’s in range for the four and a half foot cord to actually reach

1:17
Pellet grills

01:18
pellet grills are different from gas grills and would require electricity to function all coyote pellet grills are rated for 120 volt grounded plug this Outlet would ideally be located inside the island structure so that the electrical cord is not visible

01:34
coyote sideburners and the power burner are going to have a very similar requirement as the gas grills you can refer to the owner’s manual for each Appliance for more details none of the coyote burners require any power to function [Music]

Warming drawers

01:50
there are two types of warming drawers that coyote offers one is a warming drawer that is all by itself and the other is a warming drawer that is incorporated into a combination yard both do require power to function but the requirements for each are a bit different

02:06
let’s start with the Standalone warming drawer this Appliance doesn’t come with a power cord and must be hardwired using a permanent wiring system that can be purchased separately once the appliance is hardwired you can plug it into a standard 120 volt Outlet

02:22
the warming drawer that is built into the combination drawer already does have an electrical cord that is ready to be plugged into a standard 120 volt Outlet
