Outdoor Kitchen Planning | Why Saving Money Isn’t Always Good

When you’re starting the process of outdoor kitchen planning… One of the first things you’re going to consider is price.

If the price isn’t right… You’re not going to move forward with the project.

Simple as that! But we’re here to share a bit of a cautionary tale. Saving money isn’t the end-all be-all of outdoor kitchen planning.

Why?

Ultimately, it comes down to quality of materials and service. In total, there are three things you consider when making a purchase. You want the best quality product, the highest quality service, at the lowest possible price.

However, there’s give and take between these categories! So if you’re only looking to get the cheapest price… You are necessarily going to compromise on material quality and service. And we’d posit that in the long run… Those initial savings are actually going to end up costing you more!

If something goes wrong, customer service may not be up to snuff. You won’t get the assistance you need… Which ends up costing you time, frustration, and money. Same goes for the quality of your island. If the materials start breaking down after one winter… You’re in for a serious repair bill!

In many cases, by spending more on your island… You’re actually getting the better deal! Paying a little more for a higher quality product and better service is more than worth it in our minds. Now, you’re not required to take our advice. But we’d encourage you to think about it!

Just something to think about during the process of outdoor kitchen planning! And should you need any pointers… We’re here to help!

hey there it’s James with RTA outdoor living and today we are going to be discussing the things that could go wrong with an outdoor kitchen project it’s always the elephant in the room but we don’t ever shy away from it it’s pricing again this time we are going to

00:16
talk about making decisions based on pricing pricing is a major factor in any purchasing decision but we would strongly advise against it being the only Factor because all outdoor kitchens actually aren’t created equally you may be saying well thank you Captain Obvious

00:32
but allow me to explain it a little bit further when you look across the industry there’s a pretty wide range of materials appliances and construction methods that are used all which really affect the price on the surface you can have two outdoor kitchens that look exactly the same but

00:50
one is priced a couple thousand dollars more than the other option when you actually peel back the layers the one that is more expensive could actually very well be the better deal especially in the long run this is why we always point back to becoming thoroughly

01:04
educated on outdoor kitchen pricing before making your decision based on price once you understand what drives the cost up and down and you really understand why one company can be priced more than another you are in the best position to make an informed decision on

01:20
things when it really comes down to it most people make a purchasing decision based on three factors they want the best quality products the highest level of service at the lowest possible price which equals the best overall value the question you will

01:38
have to ask yourself is which one of these are you willing to sacrifice because in order to deliver the best possible quality and the highest level of service it is going to cost more
