Outdoor Kitchen Tour with HGTV’s Mike Pyle | Striking & Functional Design

In this outdoor kitchen tour… You’re going to get a detailed look at Mike Pyle’s new RTA outdoor kitchen! Curious to see how he designed it?

Well, you’re in the right place! In this video… Mike Pyle will tell you his entire thought process in this outdoor kitchen tour. Not familiar with Mike? He’s the host of HGTV’s hit show, Inside Out. And being a landscape designer… There’s no better guy to get insight on outdoor living design! So let’s take a look. The first thing Mike mentions in this outdoor kitchen tour is the U-shape layout of his island.

He didn’t get such a large island for no reason! Mike wanted to be able to have 2-4 people working at the same time without things getting cluttered. Additionally… He wanted people to be able to sit and relax at the bar at the same time! He made sure the bar was wide enough so people could sit down while others are working on the meal. Let’s move to the center island now.

Mike shares that the flat top grill was a last minute addition. But it’s been great for making pancakes, burritos, and tacos! You’ll notice that there’s some counter space between the flat top grill and gas grill. Mike intentionally placed the refrigerator between these two grills to allow for this.

This was a smart move! You always want to have counter space right next to your cooking appliances. This makes it a lot easier to prep and have space while you’re cooking. To see the rest of this outdoor kitchen tour… You’ll just have to finish the video!

And if you’re thinking about getting your own DIY outdoor kitchen… We’ll be waiting for you!

foreign design hgtv’s inside out today we’re at my home in Dana Point California and I’m gonna walk you through my brand new outdoor kitchen that RTA outdoor living and coyote grills help me Implement so as you can see I went with a U-shaped design and I did that for a couple

00:20
reasons as you can see I have a lot going on here and I wanted to make sure there was a good flow of traffic so if I have two or four people working in these stations we’re not going to be bumping into one another starting over at the bar area I really

00:36
wanted to create not only a bar but a counter this counter space can accommodate a full Buffet of food and not interrupt people sitting at the bar itself behind me I went with the flat grill this is such a versatile component to my outdoor kitchen great for pancakes

00:54
in the morning burritos tacos it’s actually something that I added last minute and I couldn’t be more happier there’s plenty of room to serve eight to ten people with no problem at all the drawer and access door below allows me to put all my utensils and the fact that

01:11
they’re sealed is a great addition so the reason I put the refrigerator between my S Series Grill and the Flat Top is because I wanted to create some counter space whenever you’re designing an outdoor kitchen you don’t want to cram all your stuff together you want to have adequate room
