This New England Outdoor Kitchen Tour is the Peak of Elegance

Whether you live in New England or not… this outdoor kitchen tour is one to be inspired by! Michelle Johnson of Stratham, New Hampshire recently finished her outdoor kitchen project. Her home has a classic coastal style, with bright whites and tasteful black contrasts. So of course, Michelle wanted to tie her outdoor kitchen design into her existing aesthetic! And as you’ll see in this outdoor kitchen tour… that’s exactly what she did.

This New England outdoor kitchen walkthrough starts with the appliances. This linear island might seem small and simple… but there’s plenty of value packed into this single island! For one, Michelle decided to opt for a dual trash and recycling bin. Being able to stock two bins in the island allows her to easily recycle, which is always a big plus! This outdoor kitchen tour also touches upon Michelle’s outdoor refrigerator. She has two sons, and one of them had just gotten married in her backyard. Not only was the outdoor kitchen a great help with hosting all those people… the refrigerator in particular was great for keeping refreshments constantly available. And of course, we can’t neglect to mention the beautiful stainless steel Coyote grill… perhaps the crowning jewel of this outdoor kitchen tour! As Michelle will tell you, this grill has already gotten plenty of use! This unit includes a rotisserie burner and a sear burner for a nice, charred sear. Now, there is a bit more to discuss in this outdoor kitchen tour… but you’ll have to watch the video for all the details!

from [Music] RTA so I designed it purposefully with all of the components that we truly use

0:30
every day in a regular kitchen and I wanted to make sure we had those elements outside I was able to actually have a double-sided garbage bin and recycling so here in our town we recycle so we have one for garbage up front and then one for recycling for the extra aluminum cans or anything bottles that

0:45
may be needed so that was a feature that I truly enjoyed and my second best feature of this is our refrigerator so as you can see we usually try to keep it half and half stocked with the good stuff and the non-alcoholic stuff but I

1:00
have two boys uh one of them just had his wedding here on the day um last month so we’ve had this stocked ever since and for some reason I never see it empty so it’s one of our most exciting assets I think um didn’t know how much we’d use that and this is my first time

1:15
using a Coyote Grill um so I’ll show you this in just one second but down here we had some storage so in here is actually where our tank is um that keeps it nice and com cozy and Compact and not everybody has to look at it um and then over here I

1:30
have two drawers one deeper than the other we keep some of our rotisserie appliances in here and things to clean the grill with as well as some of our little add-on utensils that keep things fun for when we’re cooking so loving my new stainless steel

1:45
coyote um she’s definitely gotten some use we love the back burner here which is the first time I’ve ever had one of those and our infrared over here which actually does a nice searing and then we can move it over to the charcoal brick

2:00
over here and uh get it to the right temperature we need for however you like to have your meat cooked oh I tell you a little bit about the island um this is a plank charcoal finish um and these are solid this is not a piece of corrugated or anything of um light of heart to tell

2:15
you for sure this is all the way around on all four sides um and this is a concrete countertop in a gray color and you can see I chose these colors very specifically uh to match my house everything is gray and white I have um

2:30
black shutters in the front I have black windows in certain areas so we want to make sure I wanted this all to kind of coincide and I think it came out pretty good [Music]
