If you’ve been researching how to assemble an RTA outdoor kitchen… you’ve probably heard the term “Pro Installer” used at one stage or another. And of course, it brings up an important question:

“What is an RTA Pro Installer?”

If the term is confusing or unclear to you, you’re not the only one! We launched our Pro Installer Network several years ago, and with everything we’ve learned along the way… we can easily provide you with the definitions you need.

In this article you will learn what an RTA Pro Installer is, what they do, the areas they can service, and whether or not you should hire one for your RTA outdoor kitchen project.

What is an RTA Pro Installer?

An RTA Pro Installer is a 3rd party contractor or trade professional who offers a wide variety of services, but also specializes in the installation of RTA outdoor kitchens. This is particularly valuable, because not all contractors know the ins and outs of the RTA system! When you’re working with a Pro Installer, you’re automatically working with an RTA expert.

Pro Installers are trained and vetted by the RTA team before being added to our Installer Network. That said, we must emphasize that Pro Installers are not RTA employees, and we do not have any financial involvement in the transaction. We simply provide the introduction between the homeowner and the Pro Installer.

What does an RTA Pro Installer do?

As mentioned previously, RTA Pro Installers have specialized knowledge on the installation of RTA outdoor kitchens. They know the ins and outs of how our outdoor kitchens are meant to be assembled… and can troubleshoot on the fly if there are any surprises. (For example: shimming to work around an unusually uneven surface.)

That said, installing an RTA outdoor kitchen isn’t the only thing an RTA Pro Installer can do. Well before we ever meet them, they already have a career as a contractor or trade professional. More than likely, your Pro Installer can also assist you with utility connections, site preparation, or other outdoor projects you’re considering.

Where In The United States Are RTA Pro Installers Located?

While we are constantly seeking to expand our Pro Installer Network… at the moment, we don’t have full coverage in all areas of the country.

An RTA Pro Installer is accessible in most major cities in every state, and we have Pro Installers in more rural areas scattered around the country as well.

For more information about whether or not an RTA Pro Installer is available in your area, please reach out to us directly.

Should I Hire an RTA Pro Installer?

So, should you hire an RTA Pro Installer or not? The short answer is: it depends. You should hire a Pro Installer for your RTA outdoor kitchen project if…

1. You Want a Hands-Off, White Glove Experience

you want a hands off white glove experience

If you’re in love with the idea of getting an RTA outdoor kitchen, but not thrilled about getting your hands dirty during the install… you would likely benefit from hiring a Pro Installer.

With a Pro Installer, you’ll get the white glove experience. You won’t need to crack open crates, unpack appliances, carry panels to the install location, and of course… no need to worry about actually assembling your RTA outdoor kitchen. It’s all done for you!

2. You Have Difficult Access to the Installation Location

If your outdoor kitchen is being installed on a second story deck, balcony, or another difficult to access location, you might consider hiring an RTA Pro Installer for this task.

While RTA panels are far easier to maneuver than solutions from other outdoor kitchen brands… if you have a tight area you’re working with, there’s still a challenge there. If you and a friend will struggle to carry a 200+lb concrete panel, you’re generally better off letting a professional handle the job!

3. You’re Short on Time and/or Manpower

Have an insanely busy schedule or can’t scrape up enough helpers for install day? If either or both of these situations apply… reaching out to an RTA Pro Installer will be a good move. Instead of stressing yourself out trying to clear a weekend day or run through your contact list, the help of a Pro Installer will provide a great relief.

4. You’re Not Confident in Your Assembly Capabilities

While RTA outdoor kitchens are specifically designed to be DIY friendly… many homeowners still don’t feel comfortable installing an RTA outdoor kitchen themselves. That’s completely fine!

If you want the peace of mind that your RTA install will go off without a hitch, you’ll want to consider hiring a Pro Installer for the job.

When I am not helping people design their outdoor living spaces, I spend my time enjoying the great outdoors and traveling to new places.
