Why is RTA Countertop Pricing so Hard to Find?

why is rta countertop pricing so hard to find?

You’re here to learn the exact pricing of an RTA outdoor countertop, and unfortunately… we can’t provide you with specific pricing information!

There are 2 reasons for this:

  1. RTA countertops cannot be sold individually
  2. RTA countertops are priced as a set with the island structure

If you were hoping to purchase RTA countertops to place on a non-RTA island structure, sadly, this is not something we are able to offer to you. And since countertops are sold as a set with the island structure, we’re unable to provide pricing on singular components.

What Are The RTA Countertop Options & Price Differences?

rta countertop options and price differences

That said, we can provide some clarity around pricing differences between RTA countertop options. Currently, RTA countertops are offered in 3 options: Chiseled Edge, Clean Edge, or Granite. RTA’s Chiseled Edge countertops are the standard included option, and do not come with any upcharges.

Clean Edge and Granite Countertops are more expensive to produce, and therefore, will come with an upcharge. At the time of writing in February 2026, the average upcharge for both options is $164 per linear foot. If you got a 7’ island with a 7’ countertop… you can expect to pay an additional $1,100 for the upgraded countertop on top of the base countertop/island price.

Is it Worth Paying Extra for Clean Edge or Granite Countertops?

should you pay more for clean edge or granite countertops?

With the additional cost for Clean Edge and Granite countertops in mind… you’re probably wondering if upgrading is worth the money. Is it really worth paying an extra $1,000+?

There’s a couple reasons why the answer may be “yes”:

  1. If You’re Getting an L-Shape or U-Shape Island: Generally speaking, if you’re getting one of these designs… you want the countertops to sit flush between islands. Due to the textured nature of Chiseled Edge countertops, they cannot fully sit flush next to one another. There will be a gap between the countertops. Both Clean Edge and Granite countertops can provide a clean seam, which may be worth the upgrade here.
  2. You Want Less Maintenance: Although concrete is excellent and durable in the outdoor environment, it does require some maintenance, and it can be susceptible to scratches or stains. Granite countertops, in particular, are easier to maintain and are much more resistant to scratches and stains.
  3. You Prefer the Aesthetic of Clean Edge or Granite: Chiseled Edge countertops are a great choice for many outdoor kitchens… but there’s no way around it: the look leans more rustic. If you want your outdoor kitchen to read purely modern from an aesthetic standpoint, an upgrade to Clean Edge or Granite is likely worth the cost.

Now that you understand why RTA outdoor kitchen countertop pricing is difficult to find, and what the pricing differences between options are… likely, the next thing you’re wondering is how much an entire RTA outdoor kitchen costs.

We’ve got just the thing for you: an article detailing exactly what a linear RTA outdoor kitchen costs. Even if you’ve got your heart set on an L-Shape or U-Shape, all you need to do is 2x or 3x the linear island price to get a rough estimate of what your design may cost.

Enjoy the read, and we’ll catch you in the next one!
