How do I Get Outdoor Kitchen Blueprints from RTA Outdoor Living? What does the Process Look Like?

Generating blueprints for your RTA outdoor kitchen is a multi-step process that involves several team members. Below is an outline of what happens during each step.

1. Customer Commitment

customer commitment

The blueprinting process in earnest cannot begin without customer commitment. At this stage, you will have already been in conversation with a Design Expert about your desired layout. Typically, we declare a customer commitment when a deposit is received for their order. When your deposit is received, this triggers the process for blueprint creation.

2. Design Tech Assignment & Accuracy Check

During this step, you will be assigned to a Design Tech who will assist you throughout the blueprinting phase. The Design Tech will receive your design footprint and an itemized list of all the features of your desired outdoor kitchen. This includes finishes, fuel sources, appliances, and the like.

Your Design Tech will make sure the design footprint and itemized list are a perfect, 1-to-1 match. If there are any discrepancies, they will work with your Design Expert to get everything aligned. Once everything is confirmed to be correct, your design is passed to the next stage.

3. Blueprint Tech Creates Blueprints

Now, a Blueprint Tech will be notified that blueprints for your outdoor kitchen design are ready to be created. When your blueprints are completed, they move onto the next step.

4. Second Accuracy Check

Once the initial blueprint is completed, your Design Tech will be notified to complete a second accuracy check. When the blueprint passes the accuracy check, you’ll move to the final stage.

5. Walkthrough Video & Approval Option

Finally, your Design Tech will create an in-depth document for your review. This will include a complete walkthrough video explaining your blueprints, design details, itemized list of features, an approval document, and option to submit final payment.

If you approve the blueprints right then and there, you can submit a final payment and progress your order to the manufacturing stage. But if you have some revisions or corrections you’d like to make, you can still do so! Inform your Design Tech of the revisions or corrections you want to see, and your blueprints will go through steps 3-5 a second time with the new changes.
